“They walk in all unassuming and then just kill it! Fantastic group of musicians, friendly and genuine. Not a dull moment. We’ve had Covington back three times and each time they keep elevating their game. Absolutely booking again”

Covington Groove is the kind of band that wins you over before you even realize what's happening. Their sound lives at the crossroads of blues, rock, funk, and jam, blending tight rhythms with big moments of improvisation that keep every show feeling alive. What sets them apart is how natural it all feels, nothing forced, nothing overthought. Just musicians who lock in, trust each other, and create something that hits you right in the chest.

The band originally came together at an open jam hosted by keyboardist Samuel Wyatt. A mutual friend introduced the guys, including their honorary fifth member and percussionist, Kyle Perez. They clicked instantly. After that first session, they put together a set, started booking gigs, and found themselves growing a local following faster than expected.

Their music pulls from a wide mix of influences, everything from high-energy modern blues to old-school rock grit to the groove-heavy feel of jam and funk bands. The result is a sound that feels modern but warm, familiar but fresh. It's the kind of music that reminds you of something you love but doesn't sound like anyone else.

Covington Groove may be on the rise, but they've already stood alongside some serious names. After releasing their debut album in 2024, the band has earned opening slots for artists including: Big Head Todd & The Monsters, Mark Lettieri of Snarky Puppy, Kris Myers of Umphrey's McGee and more. These shows helped introduce the band to wider audiences and cemented their reputation as a group that can hold their own next to nationally recognized musicians.
